We stand behind the quality and authenticity of every Birkin bag. Please review our return policy carefully before making your purchase.

Important Notice

Due to the rare and investment-grade nature of Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags, most items are sold as FINAL SALE. Please inspect your purchase within 48 hours of delivery as we cannot be responsible for issues beyond that period, except for authenticity concerns.

New and Never Worn Items

Investment-grade bags in pristine condition


BirkinVault does not accept returns on new or never worn items. Any item with a condition stated as "New," "Never Used," "Pristine," "Store Fresh," or similar is considered FINAL SALE.

Final Sale occurs when: Payment is processed by our payment processor or when a bank wire transfer is received by BirkinVault.


Please inspect your bag within 48 hours of delivery. We cannot be responsible for any issues beyond this period, with the exception of authenticity concerns, which are covered by our lifetime guarantee.

Pre-Owned Items

Previously owned bags in excellent to mint condition
We accept returns for store credit only on items described as "Pre-Owned" in the title, provided the bag is returned in the exact same condition as when it was sold.

Return Process for Pre-Owned Items

1.Email info@birkinvault.com within 48 hours of receiving your bag


2.We will issue an insured return shipping label (cost deducted from store credit)


3.If using your own shipping label, we must receive the bag within 4 days (7 days for international buyers) of your notification


4.Upon receipt and inspection, we will issue store credit for the entire purchase amount
Once payment is processed, there are no cancellations except for store credit. Store credits are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.


The bag must be returned in identical condition. We video all items before shipping and reserve the right to reject returns if the bag appears used, damaged, or altered in any way.

Exchanges

Size or color exchanges on eligible items.


In rare cases where we authorize an exchange, you must notify us within 48 hours of receiving your original purchase. The bag must be returned in the same condition as sold. Exchanges follow the same process as our Returns Policy above.

Incorrect Item Shipped

In the unlikely event that we ship an incorrect item:


We will immediately send you a prepaid return shipping label
The bag must be shipped within 2 business days of receiving the label
Upon receipt, we will immediately ship the correct item
All shipping costs are covered by BirkinVault

Lost or Damaged in Transit

Should our courier lose or severely damage the bag during transit, we will reimburse you after receiving notification from the carrier. Damage to external packaging does not qualify unless the bag itself is affected.

Store Credit Details


Understanding your credit and refund amounts

Upon receipt and inspection of your returned bag, we will issue store credit according to these terms:

Deductions from Store Credit

  • Original shipping cost (if applicable)
  • Return shipping cost (unless we provided the label)
  • International returns: applicable customs charges and foreign exchange feel

Store Credit Validity: All store credits are valid for 90 days from the date of original purchase.

Important: We are not responsible for returns shipped to incorrect addresses or lost/damaged during return transit. We strongly recommend insuring all return packages. 


Custom Orders & Special Sourcing


Items sourced specifically for your request

BirkinVault does not accept returns on items sourced on behalf of a client through our "Find It For You" concierge service. Bags that were not in our inventory at the time of your request are considered custom orders and are FINAL SALE, whether new or pre-owned.

When we source a specific Birkin bag based on your requested specifications (leather type, size, color, hardware), that bag is acquired specifically for you and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Authenticity Guarantee


Our lifetime commitment to you

Every bag sold by BirkinVault comes with our lifetime authenticity guarantee. This guarantee is valid regardless of our return policy timeframes.

If at any time you discover that your bag is not authentic (verified by one of our approved authenticators), we will provide a full refund including original shipping costs. This guarantee never expires.

Your trust and confidence in your investment is our top priority.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.


If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.


Late or missing refunds


If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.


Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.


Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items


Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.


Exchanges


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at: info@birkinvault.com and send your item to: 294 Bay Meadows Ave.

Gifts


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.


If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.


Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.


If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
